Wrapping up 2025, A Thank You from Oakwill Flooring

As 2025 draws to a close, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the year and say a genuine thank you to everyone we have worked with.

It has been another busy and rewarding year for the Oakwill Flooring team, delivering high-quality flooring solutions across a wide range of sectors. We have continued to support social housing schemes and assisted living developments, alongside projects in schools, dental surgeries and care environments, completing everything from wet rooms, kitchens and bathrooms to carpets and specialist safety flooring.

This year has also seen us involved in several standout construction projects. These include our work at Wrexham University’s Enterprise Engineering & Optics Centre in partnership with Wynne Construction, as well as a recent residential development delivered by K & C Construction for Clwyd Alyn Housing Association in Bodelwyddan. Built with sustainability, wellbeing and long-term community impact in mind, it has been a privilege to contribute to developments that will make a real difference to people’s lives. We will be sharing more on this project soon, so stay tuned for the case study.

Alongside larger commercial schemes, we have also loved working with our domestic customers, installing LVT, solid wood, engineered oak, herringbone and parquet flooring in homes across the region. Every project, large or small, receives the same attention to detail and care from our team.

New Build in St Asaph: Stunning Karndean Flooring Installation by Oakwill Flooring

Recently, our team had the pleasure of working in a new build on the Bryn Gobaith site in St Asaph, North Wales. This particular project allowed us to showcase our expertise in luxury vinyl flooring, where we fitted just over 140 square meters of Karndean Knight tile in the stylish Grey Limed Oak.

Why Karndean Flooring?

Karndean’s Knight Tile range is known for its realistic wood appearance, durability, and low maintenance. The Grey Limed Oak design brought a fresh, contemporary feel to this home. We laid the flooring diagonally throughout the downstairs areas, including the kitchen, utility, lounge, family room, and bathrooms upstairs, adding a border for a touch of elegance.

Flawless Subfloor Preparation

To ensure a smooth installation, we prepared the subfloor with precision. Our process included applying Stopgap F77 to protect against moisture, followed by Stopgap P141 primer for a secure bond. Finally, we used Stopgap 1200 Pro to create the perfect surface for the vinyl tiles, ensuring a seamless, high-quality finish.
