Wrapping up 2025, A Thank You from Oakwill Flooring

As 2025 draws to a close, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the year and say a genuine thank you to everyone we have worked with.

It has been another busy and rewarding year for the Oakwill Flooring team, delivering high-quality flooring solutions across a wide range of sectors. We have continued to support social housing schemes and assisted living developments, alongside projects in schools, dental surgeries and care environments, completing everything from wet rooms, kitchens and bathrooms to carpets and specialist safety flooring.

This year has also seen us involved in several standout construction projects. These include our work at Wrexham University’s Enterprise Engineering & Optics Centre in partnership with Wynne Construction, as well as a recent residential development delivered by K & C Construction for Clwyd Alyn Housing Association in Bodelwyddan. Built with sustainability, wellbeing and long-term community impact in mind, it has been a privilege to contribute to developments that will make a real difference to people’s lives. We will be sharing more on this project soon, so stay tuned for the case study.

Alongside larger commercial schemes, we have also loved working with our domestic customers, installing LVT, solid wood, engineered oak, herringbone and parquet flooring in homes across the region. Every project, large or small, receives the same attention to detail and care from our team.

Karndean - Fantastic Solution For Kitchen Floors

A very busy few months for the Oakwill Flooring team. This flooring project over in Prestatyn just shows how fantastic Karndean can look in a kitchen. With it being such a great quality product - hardwearing and durable, it was also a really nice product for our team to fit!

LVT ( Luxury Vinyl Tile) has become a very popular flooring solution over the years - This is understandable due to its durability, looks and price point. Plus there is a huge variety of styles to choose from.

For this project we installed karndean Van Gogh rigid core in Texas white ash - Which is a great choice for any part of your home or business space. We think it especially suited this nice kitchen area, with its warm and natural tone and its easy to clean surface.

We fitted a total of 25m2 for the project and using the Karndean rigid core 5G vertical click locking system.

The Karndean Van Gogh range comes in 3 different plank sizes, two of them use a glue down system.

• 56” x 9” (1422mm x 228mm) full length glue down plank.

• 28” x 7” (711mm x 178mm) small plank gluedown. Ideal for herringbone or block designs.

• 28” x 7” (711mm x 178mm) rigid core herringbone plank.

Within the karndean Van Gogh range come many different wood and stone effects all inspired by the beauty of the natural world.
